In General

• We will NEVER sell or give your personal information to anyone else.
• We will not SPAM you.
• We will not give your email address to anyone else so that they can SPAM you.
• YOU control who can see your information
• YOU control what information you provide

Why we need your email address

If you decide to join the CourseMax Community, you will be required to enter a valid email address.  We require an email address so that we can verify that you are a real person and not a spammer or bot that is going to pollute the CourseMax Community forums.  We also need your email address to send you messages that are necessary for using the website, such as password change notifications.

How we use your email address

You will receive email from CourseMax for the following reasons:

• If you forget your password and need to reset it, we’ll send you an email with a reset password link.

• If you request or accept another user as a “friend” in your learning network, they are able to send you email.  The other party will not be able to see your email address but they will be able to send an email through the web site.  CourseMax software will send the email to you without revealing your email address to the sender.

• If you elect to be identified as an instructor and also elect to receive booking requests.  You will receive an email notification if someone tries to book you to instruct a class.  You will also receive emails to notify you of status updates throughout the booking process (negotiate, reject, accept)

• If you sign up as a training provider, you will receive notifications when you attempt to book an instructor or facility and they respond with a negotiate, reject, or accept status.

• If you sign up as a training provider and elect to show your general email address on your portal people may email you for any reason.  In this case, CourseMax isn’t sending you email, the other party is sending you email.  You are not required to provide an email address in your company’s contact information.

• From time to time we may send you a newsletter with information we think you will find useful, information about new features of the web site, or new software or services we have to offer you.  If we ever send this kind of email, there will be an obvious and simple instruction for how you can opt out of receiving such email in the future.

Other Personal Information You Provide

• You are not required to provide any personal information, other than your email address on the CourseMax website.
• You are required to provide a “sign-in” name, however, your sign-in name can be anything you choose and does not need to identify you by your actual name.
• At your option, you may provide additional personal contact information and your biographical information (Bio). 
• If you do not want others to see information you submit on the website, you have the option to choose “No” in the option called “Display in members list.” 
• If you do not display your name in the members list and you do not request or accept “friendship” connections then nobody other than you and certain CourseMax employees with administrative access will have access to your other personal information.
